This beachy maternity session was extra special for me because I’ve known Britt my entire life—and she’s family! Being able to document this part of her pregnancy journey was such an honor, and we had the most stunning, unexpected backdrop.
We were anticipating a stormy day, but it held off just enough to create the most beautiful, moody beach scene. It wasn’t the typical sunny beach and golden hour vibe everyone expects—but sometimes stormy skies, dramatic clouds, and crashing waves make for the most unforgettable photos. Britt wasn’t afraid to get in the freezing water, which made for some of my favorite shots of the session.
Britt and Bryan are eagerly preparing to welcome their baby boy, and capturing their love, excitement, and connection in such a magical setting was truly a dream. This session reminded me that the best photos aren’t always the sunniest—they’re the ones filled with genuine emotion, atmosphere, and a little adventure.
