A Fall Afternoon with Hannah & Tanner | Engaged & effortless

Some sessions feel like work… and some feel like you’re just hanging out with friends on a perfect fall afternoon.

Hannah and Tanner’s engagement session was exactly that.

We met at a local county park, no strict agenda, no over-posed moments — just walking around, exploring, and stopping whenever the spot hit just right. The fall colors showed off, the air was crisp, and every little corner felt like the perfect backdrop.

They are the kind of couple that makes everything easy. So relaxed. So natural. So clearly comfortable with each other. The laughs were effortless and the quiet moments didn’t need direction — they just happened.

And the sweetest surprise? Hannah’s daughter wanted in on the fun.

She rode her bike around following us, dressed in the prettiest little dress and tiny heels like a whole grown lady. It was the cutest thing ever — watching her twirl, zoom past us, and step into a few photos like she’s been doing this her whole life. It added such a personal, joyful layer to the session and doubled as a lil' fam sesh!

By the end of it, it didn’t feel like an engagement session at all. It felt like an afternoon spent walking, laughing, and soaking in this season of life before their wedding day arrives.

And I truly cannot wait for their October wedding. If it’s anything like this session — laid-back, full of love, and full of genuine smiles — it’s going to be an absolute dream.
