There’s something so special about photographing a couple who already has so much history together—and even more special when you know you’re about to capture the moment their story takes a whole new turn. 🥹✨
Elijah and Madi have been together for quite some time, so when Elijah reached out with plans to surprise Madi with a proposal during their anniversary session, I already knew this was going to be one for the books.
We started the evening with sweet beach portraits, soaking in the gorgeous sunset and capturing the two of them simply enjoying each other. Madi had no idea that this anniversary date was about to become one of the biggest moments of their lives.
Then, at just the right moment, Elijah got down on one knee and asked her to spend forever with him. 💍
The fact that he chose their anniversary to propose made the moment even more meaningful. After all the years, memories, and milestones they’ve shared together, they now get to add the beginning of their engagement story to that same special date.
From a sunset beach session to a surprise proposal and all the happy tears in between, this was such a sweet reminder of why I love documenting the little moments that become the biggest memories.
